1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to Coach: Workout Log & Tracker, an iOS fitness application published by Brandissimo LLC ("Coach," "Brandissimo," "we," "us," "our"). We are based in the United States. Questions can be sent to santi@brandissimo.us.
2. Information Coach processes
Fitness profile and onboarding preferences
Your goal, experience level, preferred training days and session duration, exercise preferences, locations and equipment, and any limitations or injuries you choose to provide during onboarding or in settings.
Workout and training information
Planned and completed workouts, exercises, sets, repetitions, loads, duration, effort ratings, session notes, personal records, and workout history you import from CSV or TSV files.
Body composition and biometric data you enter
If you choose to log DEXA scan results, Coach stores body fat percentage, lean mass, and related measurements you manually enter. This data is stored on your device and in your private iCloud database when sync is enabled.
Progress photos
If you use the progress photo feature, photos are stored only on your device and in your private iCloud database. They are never uploaded to Coach or Brandissimo servers.
Recovery and readiness data
Your daily recovery check-in responses (how you feel before training). If you connect your Oura Ring, Coach reads sleep, readiness, and activity data from the Oura API to inform your training plan.
Apple Health information
If you grant permission, Coach may read or write only the Apple Health data types you authorize (such as active energy, workouts, heart rate, and body measurements). Health information is used solely to provide fitness functionality and is never used for advertising.
AI Coach information
Questions you send to the AI Coach, recent conversation history, and relevant fitness context (your profile, today's workout, recent history) sent alongside the request.
Technical preferences
On-device settings and identifiers needed to remember app preferences, support imports, and keep features working. Coach does not include third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or crash-reporting services that share your data with outside parties.
3. How we use your information
- Generate, display, update, and log your training plan and workout sessions.
- Personalise the AI Coach's suggestions using your fitness profile, training history, recovery data, and DEXA results.
- Sync eligible information across your devices when iCloud is enabled.
- Provide AI Coach responses when you choose to use that feature.
- Import, export, restore, troubleshoot, and secure app functionality.
- Comply with applicable law and protect users and Brandissimo LLC.
We do not use your fitness or health information to train AI models or for any purpose beyond operating the app features you use.
4. Where information is stored
Your fitness profile, workout logs, DEXA data, recovery check-ins, progress photos, and Coach history are stored on your device. When iCloud is enabled, eligible data syncs through Apple CloudKit to your private iCloud database — accessible only to your Apple ID. Apple controls the iCloud service and its security practices.
Oura data is fetched directly from the Oura API at your request and cached on device. We do not store your Oura data on Brandissimo servers.
Removing Coach deletes all local app data. iCloud data may remain in your Apple account until you delete it through Coach settings or your Apple account settings.
5. AI Coach
When you use the AI Coach, Coach sends your question and relevant context — including your fitness profile, today's workout, recent training history, and recent conversation — to Anthropic's Claude AI service. Anthropic processes this information to generate a response and may retain it according to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
We use this information only to provide the requested response and to operate or secure the service. Do not include medical records, account credentials, financial information, or other sensitive personal information in Coach messages.
AI responses can be incomplete or inaccurate. The AI Coach does not diagnose, treat, or replace a qualified health or fitness professional.
6. Third-party services
Apple HealthKit and CloudKit
Apple Health and iCloud sync use Apple's frameworks. Apple's privacy practices apply to data processed through those services. We access only the data types you explicitly authorise.
Oura Ring
If you connect your Oura Ring, Coach uses the Oura API to retrieve sleep, readiness, and activity data. Your Oura credentials are never stored by Coach. You can disconnect Oura at any time in Coach settings. Oura's privacy practices apply to data held by Oura.
Anthropic (AI Coach)
Questions and fitness context you submit to the AI Coach are processed by Anthropic. See Section 5 above and Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
7. When information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising or with data brokers. Information may be processed by:
- Apple — for HealthKit and private iCloud/CloudKit functionality you enable.
- Oura — to retrieve your recovery data via the Oura API when you connect your ring.
- Anthropic — to generate an AI Coach response when you request one.
- Legal and safety recipients — only when reasonably necessary to comply with law, prevent fraud, or protect users and Brandissimo LLC.
8. Retention and security
On-device information remains until you clear or delete it or remove the app. Synced information remains in your private iCloud database until deleted. Anthropic may retain Coach request information according to their applicable terms and configuration. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of your data, but no storage or transmission method is perfectly secure.
9. Your choices and rights
- Change Apple Health permissions at any time in iPhone Settings → Health → Apps → Coach.
- Turn iCloud sync on or off in iPhone Settings → [your name] → iCloud.
- Disconnect your Oura Ring in Coach settings.
- Clear AI Coach conversation history in Coach settings.
- Export your workout data from Coach settings.
- Use "Delete All Coach Data" in settings to remove iCloud-synced data.
- Delete the app to remove all local data.
- Contact us about any personal information at santi@brandissimo.us.
If you are in a jurisdiction with applicable data rights (such as California CCPA or EU GDPR), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

10. Children
Coach is not directed to children under 13. If you are below the age of majority where you live, use Coach only with a parent or guardian's involvement and approval.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Coach changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. We will communicate material changes through the app or this website as required by applicable law.
